AIR TRANSPORT

The airlines are a safe and efficient way to transport our puppies! In the later part of
1998, the FAA made new rulings, pertaining to flying live animals and plants. The cargo
room where they fly must have the same air that is flowing in the cabin with the
passengers.
Our puppy’s crates are hand carried to you, usually within 30 minutes of arrival.

They do not come down the chute with the luggage. We have never had a puppy that did not arrive safely to its new parents!

When the Airlines tell you that they will not ship dogs in over 95 degrees, or under 10 degrees, that
is NOT because of the temperature on the airplane. That is because they do not want the dog being on the little transportation cart, on the tarmac, going from the plane to the terminal, in those temperatures. Continental and some of the others are now starting to use air-conditioned and heated buses to carry the dogs from the airplanes to the terminals.
When we send a puppy, yes, they may arrive scared...but please remember, they were scared when they left here.
They would be scared riding in a car, or sitting in a vet's office...so we still believe this is the
safest, most reliable transportation there is available today.

FLIGHT INFORMATION

YOUR NEW BABY WILL FLY
OUT OF THE KANSAS CITY
AIRPORT TO OTHER MAJOR
AIRPORTS. I USE PET AIR
(WWW.FLYPETS.COM) TO
SET UP THE FLIGHT FOR
YOUR NEW ADDITION. I
SEND PET AIR YOUR
INFORMATION AND I HAVE
THE FLIGHT INFORMATION
BACK ONE TO TWO DAYS

PRIOR TO THE BABIES
FLIGHT. I WILL SEND THIS
TO YOU BY EMAIL. THE
FLIGHT IS PAID FOR HERE IN ADVANCE.
. YOU WILL
NEED TO SHOW ID AT THE
AIRPORT TO PICK UP YOUR
BABY. I DO SUGGEST
PUTTING TWO NAMES ON
THE FLIGHT FOR YOUR
NEW BABY. THIS WAY YOU
HAVE A SECOND PERSON
THAT CAN PICK UP THE
PUPPY SHOULD YOU NOT
BE ABLE TO GET TO THE
AIRPORT..

YOUR PUPPIES ARRIVAL

YOUR NEW PUPPY WILL ARRIVE TO YOU IN A NEW PET
CARRIER WITH ALL THE PAPERWORK FOR THE PUPPY
ATTACHED TO THE CARRIER.
THIS PAPERWORK IS
REGISTRATION AND PEDIGREE (IF PAPERED) SHOT
RECORD AND HEALTH CERTIFICATE SIGNED BY MY VET.
THIS INFORMATION WILL BE IN THE PLASTIC SLEEVE
ATTACHED TO THE PET CARRIER. THE PUPPIES WILL
ARRIVE WITH SHREDDED NEWSPAPERS IN THE CARRIER.
THE AIRLINES WILL NOT ALLOW TOYS AND SUCH TO BE
INCLUDED (SINCE 9-11). YOUR NEW BABY WILL LEAVE HERE
CLEAN BUT WILL NEED A BATH UPON ARRIVAL . I SUGGEST A
TOWEL TO WRAP YOUR NEW BABY IN AT THE AIRPORT SO
YOU CAN HOLD HER/HIM. I WOULD WATER YOUR NEW
LITTLE ONE UPON ARRIVAL, AS THEY WILL BE MORE THIRSTY THAN HUNGRY.
HOWEVER I WOULD WAIT AND
GIVE FEED WHEN YOU GET HOME. SOMETIMES THE LITTLE
ONES WILL GET MOTION SICKNESS, AND HAVE SOME JET LAG, JUST LIKE
A PERSON. MOTION SICKNESS WILL PASS WHEN
THEY ARE HOME WITH YOU AND ON SOLID GROUND AGAIN.
THE FIRST FEW HOURS THE PUPPY MIGHT BE SCARED OF
HIS/HER NEW SURROUNDINGS. THIS WILL PASS ALSO. KEEP
IN MIND THEY JUST LEFT THE ONLY HOME AND MOTHER THEY HAVE
KNOWN , TRAVELED SEVERAL HOURS TO GET TO THE
AIRPORT, PUT ON A PLANE AND ARE NOW IN A HOME WITH
SOMEONE THEY DO NOT KNOW. THEY WILL LEARN TRUST
PRETTY QUICK WITH A LITTLE LOVE. SOON THEY WILL BE
RUNNING AROUND AND CHECKING OUT ALL THE NEW
SURROUNDINGS. AFTER THE NEW WEARS OFF THE NEW
BABY MIGHT SLEEP A LOT FOR THE FIRST DAY. ALL OF THIS
IS NORMAL. ALL PUPPIES HANDLE TRAVELING AND A NEW
HOME DIFFERENTLY . GIVE THE LITTLE ONE TIME TO
ADJUST AND THE PUPPY WILL.
