CARE OF YOUR PUPPY

SHOTS
Your new baby will need additional
vaccinations in the future to continue to keep
her/him healthy. Your vet will need
to decide what to give the new baby.
The puppy will have the shot record
for you to take to a veterinarian.

Your vet can be assured that the vaccination program we have is current, accurate and completely factual as per the shot records.  Some vets don't feel comfortable trusting the stated vaccine protocol for a puppy, and will suggest starting over, just to be sure. This can be unhealthy for the puppy, and a needless expense to you. So, if they have any doubts, please assure them they can contact me or our veterinarian.
Please do  not take your new baby to a park, including and especially any grassy areas at the airport,
or  other areas where  other dogs have been until he/she is finished with the shots program . Remember, your puppy is still a baby, and needs to be protected until its immune system is fully functional, which is from 16 to 20 weeks old.
HAIR CARE
your new little one will need baths on occasion. I suggest hartz flea and tick shampoo. You will need to purchase a comb and brush if you are getting a long coat breed. You will want to start brushing early to get your new baby used to having their hair combed. If you want to put hair in a pony tail on the head I suggest the small rubber bands to
hold the hair on top of the head. You can put a bow over the rubber band.
When removing the rubber band never pull just clip.

This is comparable to Eukanuba. The puppy will be eating dry food before he/she is sent to you. Little
puppies do not eat much. I keep the food in front of them to nibble when
they want. I suggest no people food as it can upset the digestive system, and for some reason have a tendency to get overweight and accumulate body fat. Treats are wonderful.  treats  are
great to use for potty training .  I do not like real beef jerky treats. The puppy can bite pieces off and
swallow them. These pieces of jerky are very salty. The puppy will drink  lots of water . The jerky treat piece swells and can cause a blockage in the puppy. This can be life threatening .. I  suggest digestible treats . I really like nutri-cal as a treat. it is in a tube and the puppies
like it. this can be purchased at any major pet store.
